AES, AES PASS & CENSUS Module

The CargoTrac™ AES application is designed to enable forwarders to transmit their Shipper’s Export Declarations (SED) to US Customs electronically. This eliminates the need to prepare and print hard copies of SED’s for submission to the appropriate authorities at the time and place of filing the manifests. Although AES is not mandatory by Customs, it has fast become the norm. The FDS AES sub-module can be integrated to the Air Export, NVOCC and or Ocean Export module(s)

This sophisticated yet easy to use application utilizes state of the art techniques in terms of communications and programming. We utilize the ABI interface and have also incorporated the MQ transmission protocol as an option. The latter, of course, provides a more reliable and faster communications with Customs.

During preparation of Export Declarations, each input field is validated prior to the record being submitted to Customs. This on-line validation minimizes errors and obviates unnecessary erroneous submissions to Customs increasing productivity. Once an accepted record is returned from Customs, the system will automatically update the file of the shipment with the appropriate ITN number. On the other hand, if the record is not accepted, the system will display the error message(s) as well as brief description of the message(s)

If the MQ protocol is being utilized for transmissions, the SED AES records get transmitted to Customs upon the filing of the record. If a traditional dial-up modem is being utilized for Customs transmissions, system scripts can be set up to automatically dial and transmit at any desired interval.

The AES application is capable of submitting ALL SED Option types: Option 2, Option 3, Option 4 and Post-departure.
